Jewish History in Early Lemuria

By Richard Kieinger

The Brotherhoods began a long program to uplift the Jews at the time of Jacob, who was later named Israel, and this culminated with the ministry of Melchizedek, who Christians refer to as The Christ. The interrelationship between Melchizedek and the Jews started out unhappily about 76,000 years ago on the now-submerged continent of Mu.

The first civilization on Earth began almost 78,000 years ago on a vast, grassy plain that comprised the northeast quadrant of the ancient continent of Mu. The plain had been uninhabited virgin land made completely inaccessible to man or cattle by a broad chasm and sheer cliffs formed eons before by earthquake action. Nomadic herdsmen of the continent had for generations looked hungrily across the void upon the seemingly endless grasslands that some thousands of miles to the north and east sloped gently into the ancient Bering and Kansas Seas to create a marshy coastline of formidable and labyrinthine everglades stretching a hundred miles inland.

Enterprising men of a tribe near the plains eventually devised a bridge of long redwood logs by dropping them across a narrow gorge to the grasslands that would one day become the Lemurian Empire. On the plains side of the bridge they built the world’s first fortress which was impregnable to all weapons of their day. There were at that time a few exceptional men who lived apart from the tribes in a hermitage and who had begun to perceive God’s laws of karma. These men were held in awe by the tribes-people because of their venerable age. wisdom and rare peace. It was these sages who conceived a method by which to begin civilization on our planet, and they implanted the germ of this idea in the minds of a few tribesmen who were natural leaders. The fierce but childlike members of the twelve tribes were persuaded by these respected “Elders” that the prized dream of security could be achieved on the new land by following God’s laws which the Elders would teach them.

A primitive sort of school was established in one of the tribal valleys near the plains where every prospective entrant to the plains had to spend seven years leaning and practicing how to behave in accordance with what were to later become known as the Lemurian Laws. To pay for this training, every candidate was required to surrender one-half of everything he owned—generally cattle—to the Elders. What he did not know when he paid his tuition was that at the end of the seven years he would receive the same number of cattle bred with superior strains developed by the Elders.

About one thousand years after the plains were first inhabited, Melchizedek became the first Emperor of the populous and prosperous plain. Of the twelve tribes, the members of ten poured eagerly into the new nation from their tribal valleys until the original school of the Elders was a vast enterprise. Melchizedek noted that only two tribes were holding back—the tribes of Judi and Levi. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the members of these tribes balked at surrendering half their herds to gain eventual entry to the coveted plains. The two tribes had, however, devised a clever plan of pooling their resources to send their most intelligent tribesmen to the school with instructions to overthrow the existing government from within and throw open the gates to the entire Levi and Judi tribes. The leaders of these two tribes had no concept of the fine principles upon which the civilization was founded, and for generations they had been exceedingly suspicious of the Elders who tried to cajole the two tribes to take a part in the great undertaking. Melchizedek uncovered the plot when it was well developed, and He exiled from the continent all the representatives of the two tribes who had become part of the empire and who in many cases were officials in the government. He then had all the tribal leaders of the Judi and Levi peoples rounded up from their tribal homelands and also exiled them and their families. The vengeful violence of the remaining tribesmen who had been deprived of their leaders resulted in deportation of the two tribes in entirety to protect the growing civilization. Some were deported to what is now Mexico and some to what is now the Arabian peninsula. For all practical purposes the Mexican group was wiped out by tidal waves generated when the continent of Mu sank 30,000 years later.

The Egos who traditionally incarnated into the Judi and Levi tribes continued to reincarnate among the race since its traits were familiar and comfortable. Essentially, they remained a separate faction of our Human Life Wave and gave rise to the Semitic Race. For thousands of years during Atlantean times they were a troublesome group to their neighbors. The Semites were a savage, backward, cruel race of vicious predators. As individual Egos they disdained incarnation into other races and cultures and so their experiences were very one-sided. The accumulated karma of the Jewish race made their lives harsh, and this only tended to brutalize them more and make them inordinately reactionary to their enemies. About six thousand years ago, Melchizedek decided that the Brothers should devote special attention to the Semites in order to bring them into a more balanced state. As a special grace it was given to the Jews to be the agents through whom Christ’s special message to the world would come.

Joseph was the agent through whom the Jews became slaves to Egypt where they began to learn trades. Moses taught them to sacrifice annually the best tenth of their possessions. Great Egos incarnated into the race as the Prophets to teach them, and finally Melchizedek came to show them Love and redemption and even offered Himself for their revenge upon Him. He functioned in the body of a Jew and said His teachings were for the Jews and not for the Gentiles. This appealed to their sense of exclusiveness, but of course His message was meant for the world. Through His beneficence He directed that the karma of the warlike Jews be spread out over millennia so they could advance; and indeed the Jews long enjoyed a continuous experience of a refined and disciplined culture which has produced many fine minds. Egos long-associated with the Jews began to incarnate among other peoples; and over the centuries since Christ, many who had been Jews became ready for the universality of Brotherhood. Such is the background of the eventful birth which we celebrate as Christmas. Truly a birth most meaningful to the Jews; but which is so far-reaching in its implications to all mankind that the message could not help but spill out over the world.
